Character outlines

Ebony hart: A 38 year old trainee doctor. Shoulder length black hair. Ebony was brought up by a doctor (Father-Simon Hart) and Lawyer (Mother-Helena Hart). When she was 17, her parents suffered an ill timed death in a house fire. After moving to university, Ebony met Benjamin, and they almost instantly fell in love. Since she learned to walk she has been planning her big day, and since meeting Benjamin, she knows he is the one. She is the main character of the film and also the bride to be. She suffers from acute schizophrenia like her mum but hasn’t been diagnosed with it so is unable to distinguish between reality and her imagination.

Ben:  39 year old advertising agent. Tall, dark and handsome, met Ebony at University and one day plans to make an honest woman of her, once he has enough money to give her the wedding she really deserves.

Pamela ivy (psychiatrist):  Professional woman who takes her work seriously. 44 years of age, blonde hair, however appears white from a distance. Somewhat of a bonnie lady, although she doesn’t want to believe that Ebony killed Benjamin, she can’t help wonder, as her mother, who she worked with as a patient years ago.   

Brendan ford (detective) :  50 years of age, however his dedication to work makes him look more like 60. He refuses to believe Pamela in that IF Ebony killed Benjamin, it was due to her illness. Black curly hair which h is greying, often smoking a cigarette and has a lucky key ring which he holds in times of preparation. He seems hell bent on ensuring that Ebony is sent down for Benjamin’s murder

She suffers from acute schizophrenia like her mum but hasn’t been diagnosed with it so is unable to distinguish between reality and her imagination. She goes looking for Benjamin and catches him having an affair with her bridesmaid Louise at a motel. The trauma of seeing her husband having an affair causes Ebony to go into a sociopathic rage killing her husband and the bridesmaid. However due to her condition Ebony forgets this incident and proceeds to the church in her bloodied and torn dress. She only realises what she has done when the priest at the church confronts her.

Benjamin: 39 year old advertising agent. Tall, dark and handsome, met Ebony at University and plans to make an honest woman of her, making her dreams come true however he is murdered when she finds him having an affair with the bridesmaid at a motel.

Kathy Doyle (detective):  50 years of age, however her dedication to work makes her look more like 60. Shoulder length brown curly hair which is greying, often smoking a cigarette and has a lucky key ring which she holds in times of preparation. She seems hell bent on ensuring that Ebony is sent down for Benjamin’s murder, and will do anything to make sure that happens

Eric Joseph (best man): 37 year old mechanic and Benjamin’s best friend and best man. Deeply in love with Louise and would someday like to marry her when he has enough money. Short, chubby and almost bald.

Louise Crocker (bridesmaid): a 35 year old hair dresser and a best friend since school of Ebony. Somewhat of a tart and is a fan of a miniskirt. Long Ginger hair and although she likes Eric, never seems interested in the idea of Marriage, and had often had a wandering eye when it comes to Benjamin.
